Lexington man, 72, charged with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy of a girl in 2009 and 2010

A Lexington man was charged Tuesday with the rape, sexual abuse and sodomy of a girl in 2009 and 2010.

David Edward Claybrooks, 72, was arrested by Lexington police after he admitted that he had had sexual contact with the girl when she was less than 12; and oral sodomy and sexual intercourse with her when she was less than 14, according to an arrest record filed with Fayette District Court.

Claybrooks was lodged in the Fayette County jail in lieu of a $15,000 cash bond. He was to be arraigned Wednesday before Fayette District Judge Julie Goodman.
