Detroit Symphony to play neighborhood concerts

— The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will perform a series of shows at venues in eight area communities next year.

Subscriptions went on sale this week for the Neighborhood Concert Series.

Multiple performances each are scheduled to be held in Beverly Hills, Bloomfield Hills, Canton Township, Clinton Township, Dearborn, Grosse Pointe Woods, Southfield and West Bloomfield Township. They will run Jan. 8 through July 19.

This will be the fourth year of the Neighborhood Concert Series.

Individual tickets cost $25 and will go on sale Nov. 10.
