Next stop Monmouth Park for Social Inclusion

Hallandale Beach, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - One day after putting in a workout for the Haskell Invitational, Social Inclusion was resting before being shipped to Monmouth Park for the $1 million, 1 1/8-mile stakes.

"He worked wonderfully and he is doing great this morning," trainer Manny Azpurua said about Wednesday's half-mile workout. "Right now, I'm looking to ship to Monmouth Park on the 22nd."

Social Inclusion, owned by Ron Sanchez, covered the four furlongs at Gulfstream Park in 45.65 seconds. The Haskell will be Sunday, July 27.

The 3-year-old colt posted a 10-length victory to commence his career in a 1 1/16-mile allowance race at Gulfstream over Remsen Stakes winner Honor Code and in the process set a track record of 1:40.97 for the distance.

He posted third-place finishes in the Wood Memorial, Preakness Stakes and Woody Stephens Stakes.

"It was a mistake to go to Aqueduct (for the Wood). My horse was young and only had two races, and it screwed up his mind. It's 84 (degrees) here, 34 up there. He's changing tracks; he's changing stalls. The first time he went to the paddock he got upset. He got upset on the track. All those things troubled his mind," Azpurua said.

In the William Hill future bet for the Haskell, Social Inclusion is 5-1 with leading filly Untapable the 9-5 favorite.
