New Orleans small forward Darius Miller, guarded by Golden State point guard Jarrett Jack in April, has re-signed with the Pelicans.

Former University of Kentucky and Mason County High School standout Darius Miller has re-signed with the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, the Times-Picayune reported Friday, quoting a league source.

Miller, who played on Kentucky's 2012 national championship team after a career at Mason County that ended with him being named Mr. Basketball, became an unrestricted free agent last month after the Pelicans did not extend him a $1.15 million qualifying offer.

The 6-foot-8 small forward averaged 4.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 45 games last season after recovering from surgery on a stress fracture in his left foot. He was picked 46th overall in the second round of the 2012 draft by New Orleans.

Miller rejoins a team led by his former UK teammate, Anthony Davis, and which now includes second-round draft pick Russ Smith of Louisville.
