Former University of Kentucky star Julius Randle took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 12 of his 14 points in the Los Angeles Lakers' 83-77 win against the Denver Nuggets in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Randle struggled through the first three quarters, missing all eight of his shots from the field. But he dominated in the fourth by taking the ball to the basket off the dribble against the Nuggets' post players, who couldn't keep up with him.

"I just didn't really have it going. I don't know why," Randle said of his play in the first three quarters. "I wasn't affecting the game in other ways, too. I could have rebounded, blocked shots and I wasn't doing it. But the fourth quarter, luckily I got going and started making some things happen."

Randle also had five rebounds and one blocked shot in his fifth and final summer league game.

"Fatigue's not an excuse," Randle said. "As you see, it's fourth quarter so it's time to close it out, leave here with a win, and that's what we did."

DeAndre Liggins had 11 points, five rebounds and one steal in the Los Angeles Clippers' 64-60 summer league loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Liggins was 3-for-6 from the field and 4-for-6 at the line.

Archie Goodwin scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds in the Phoenix Suns' 88-62 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in Vegas.

Goodwin struggled from the field, going 3-for-12, but he was 7-for-9 from the free-throw line.
