Baptist Health Lexington has been ranked No. 1 in Kentucky for 2014-15, according to U.S. News & World Report. Baptist Health Lexington is a general medical and surgical hospital that performed nearly at the level of nationally ranked U.S. News Best Hospitals in 10 adult specialties, including diabetes and endocrinology; ear, nose and throat; gastroenterology and GI surgery; geriatrics; gynecology; kidney disorders; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; pulmonary; and urology.

Baptist Health Louisville again tied for the No. 2 spot — this time with last year's top-rated hospital, St. Elizabeth Edgewood. Rounding out the top five are: University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital (No. 4) and Norton Hospital (No. 5).

The rankings are available at and will appear in the U.S. News "Best Hospitals 2015" guidebook, available in August.
