Lexington police have made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday morning. The suspect's name has not yet been released.

The suspect was arrested at a home on St. Margaret Drive after officers traced a gray Ford SUV with West Virginia license plates, police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said.

Police initially were sent to Lakeshore Drive about 7 a.m. Wednesday, after a man reported being robbed at gunpoint in front of his home.

Roberts said the victim told officers that he was walking to his truck to go to work when a man approached, asked him for directions, and then pulled a revolver and demanded money.

The robber fled with the victim's wallet, driving a gray vehicle with West Virginia plates, police said.

Officers arrested the suspect shortly afterward, Roberts said.
