Winchester woman accused of shooting stepfather in the leg in Scott County

A Winchester woman was charged Thursday with attempted murder after shooting her stepfather in the leg, Scott County Sheriff Tony Hampton said.

Carolyn Storlie, 38, was arrested after the shooting, which happened at 7:40 a.m. Thursday.

Storlie shot her stepfather, John Mullins, 63, shortly after he arrived home from work, Hampton said. The shooting happened on Gemini Trail in the Moon Lake subdivision off U.S. 25 north of Georgetown.

Mullins was treated at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital and released.

Storlie was being held in the Scott County jail.
