Man dies in crash on U.S. 60 in Woodford County

A car crash Thursday killed a man in Woodford County.

Versailles police said two vehicles collided about 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 60 (Lexington Road) and Paddock Drive. An SUV headed east on U.S. 60 collided with a midsize passenger car that was turning left onto U.S. 60 from Paddock Drive.

The driver of the SUV and the front-seat passenger of the car were taken by ambulance to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. The driver of the car was airlifted to the UK hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Versailles police, who are investigating the crash, did not immediately release the victim's name.
