John Hill Saunders, M.D.: Dr. Justin A. Saunders, board-certified ophthalmologist, has completed a two-year oculoplastic surgery fellowship at Emory University and has returned to Lexington to join his father, Dr. John Hill Saunders, in practice.


The Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky: Patrick R. Hughes, DBL Law, and April Preece, a community volunteer from Inez, have been elected to the organization's board. The following have been elected officers: David P. Jude, Kentucky State Police, president; Kevin R. Atkins, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's Office of the Mayor, vice president; and John R. Smith, PNC Bank, secretary-treasurer.
