WaterFest is Thursday

Kentucky American Water will hold WaterFest, its annual open house, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at 2300 Richmond Road. The free event will allow visitors to see technical aspects of tap water service, including the process of how untreated water is turned into drinking water. The event will also include exhibits on water supply engineering, infrastructure renewal, environmental stewardship as well as mechanical and equipment demonstrations by field personnel. The family-friendly event will include refreshments, face-painting, monster bubbles and prizes, including a rain barrel, home gardening package, and tailgating package.

Visitors to WaterFest should park in the Southland Christian Church parking lot located across Richmond Road from KAW's offices, where shuttle buses will transport visitors to and from the event.
