The Eastern Kentucky University football team opens its 2014 season three weeks from this Thursday at Robert Morris.

The Colonels, coming off a 6-6 record in 2013, held their annual football media day on Tuesday.

Ninety-two players are on the preseason camp roster, including 16 seniors. The team held its first official practice Saturday morning. The first practice in pads will be Wednesday. Scrimmages are scheduled for this Saturday and Aug. 16.

All preseason practices are open to the public at the Presnell practice facility. Practices Wednesday-Friday this week are from 2-5 p.m. Saturday's scrimmage is from 7:30-10:30 a.m.

EKU plays its home opener Sept. 13 against Morehead State.
