Pikeville makes Holland Jr. its interim coach

August 12, 2014

Allan Holland Jr., Pikeville’s offensive coordinator for the last four seasons, was named interim head football coach, Athletics Director Robert Staggs announced on Monday.

“I have full confidence in Allan to step in and do the job,” Staggs said. “He has been an integral part of the team’s growth over the last several seasons and I fully expect that to continue under his leadership.”

Holland took over for Dudley Hilton, who stepped down from the position for personal and health reasons on Saturday.

Holland starred at Perry County Central and began his collegiate career at Wake Forest in 2004. He transferred to Eastern Kentucky and earned the Ohio Valley Conference’s player-of-the-year award in 2007. A decision on a full-time coach for Pikeville will be made following the 2014 season.
