Channel lineup set for SEC Network

The new SEC Network goes live at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Coverage will kick off with a program called SEC Now, which is the network's version of ESPN's SportsCenter.

Opening night coverage will include live reports from all 14 SEC campuses, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The first live sports event on the network will be Kentucky's Big Blue Bahamas exhibition basketball game against the Dominican Republic National Team on Friday at 1 p.m.

The channels on which viewers in Central Kentucky can find the network have been announced only in recent days. Here is the lineup:

Time Warner Cable: Channels 79, 80 and 516 in standard definition, and channels 417, 517 and 518 in high-definition. Channels 80 and 518 will be used for alternate programming.

DISH Network: Channel 404 with the Hopper digital box or on channels 408, 596 and 597 depending on equipment.

DirecTV: Channel 611
