Two men are injured in Wolfe County shooting

September 2, 2014

Two men were injured in Wolfe County on Tuesday afternoon, when one man shot another, then left and shot himself.

Gregory Richerson, 43, of Vancleve, went to the home of Rodney Wilder, 46, on Cave Branch Road in Wolfe County, stopped in front of the residence and fired two shots, hitting Wilder, according to a news release from state police.

Richerson then left and shot himself in the chest.

Both men were taken to Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson. Wilder's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, but Richerson's were, state police said.
