Georgia will enter the 2008 college football season as the No. 1-ranked team, according to the USA Today Coaches Top 25 pre-season poll released Friday.

The Bulldogs received 22 first-place votes, outdistancing second-ranked Southern California and third-ranked Ohio State, who received 14 each.
Oklahoma and Florida round out the top five.
The coaches included five teams from the Southeastern Conference in their pre-season poll. In addition to Georgia and Florida, the coaches ranked LSU sixth, Auburn 11th and Tennessee 18th.
Kentucky got five points in the poll and Louisville received two points.
