UofL dodges Georgetown's upset bid

LOUISVILLE — Samardo Samuels scored 20 points, fellow freshman Jared Swopshire added 14 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 3 Louisville held off Georgetown College 74-67 in an exhibition Saturday.

Vincent Crutcher led the Tigers of the NAIA with 18 points. David Graham added 16 for Georgetown, but the Tigers missed several free throws in the final minute that could have helped pull off the upset. It was the second time in three seasons they've gotten close to the Cards. Georgetown lost 94-92 in 2006.
