Georgetown's Osborne a finalist for job at West Florida

Georgetown College men's basketball coach Happy Osborne is one of 10 finalists for the head coaching job at the University of West Florida.

The Pensacola News Journal reported on its Web site Tuesday that the Division II school in Pensacola, Fla., had 145 coaches on its original list.

Among those who did not make the cut were former NBA players Nate Archibald and Wayne "Tree" Rollins.

Osborne, a native of Lynch, Ky., has been at Georgetown since 1979, originally serving as an assistant under Jim Reid. He has been the head coach since 1995. The Tigers, who won the NAIA national championship in 1998, have won at least 25 games in 24 of the past 25 seasons and they've made the NAIA Tournament in each of the past 18 seasons.
