Big Brown's Haskell Invitational run at Monmouth Park on Sunday will help out retired racehorses.

ReRun Inc. announced on Wednesday that IEAH Stables and Paul Pompa Jr. will donate a portion of Big Brown's purse earnings to the non-profit adoption program, “Running for ReRun.”

ReRun helps rehabilitate and find homes, an alternative to slaughter, for horses coming off the track.

The news release did not specify how much the organization will receive from the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner.

“We are thrilled to be participating in such a great cause,” said Michael Iavarone, co-president of IEAH. “This is a great way to give back to our industry.”

IEAH also sponsored the recent Day at the Races luncheon and silent auction at Monmouth Park, and IEAH is building the Ruffian Equine Medical Center at Belmont Park.
