The Lexington Legends scored six runs in the second inning, added three more in the fourth and defeated the Greensboro Grasshoppers 9-4 Saturday night in Greensboro, N.C. The win ended the Legends' losing streak at 11 games.

Greensboro took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but the Legends responded in the second with a Michael Diaz sacrifice fly to tie the game, a two-run single by Brandon Wikoff and two more runs when third baseman Jake Smolinski could not field Brian Pellegrini's ground ball.

Greensboro answered with a run in the bottom of the second to cut the lead to 6-2, but the Legends extended the margin in the fourth when Wikoff scored on a passed ball to give Lexington a 7-2 lead. Another Greensboro error allowed two more Legends runs.
