The Kentucky Horsemen will look to avenge a last-minute loss and solidify their standing for an arenafootball2 playoff spot when they host the South Georgia Wildcats on Saturday night at Rupp Arena.
The Wildcats defeated visiting Kentucky 72-66 last month, scoring the winning touchdown with 29 seconds left. South Georgia quarterback Darnell Kennedy passed for a team-record 10 touchdowns in that game, including two in the final 55 seconds.
The Horsemen are two games behind South Georgia and the Tennessee Valley Vipers in the American Conference South Division, though they're still in good shape for one of the conference's eight playoff bids.
Kentucky sits sixth in the conference, two games clear of the ninth-place team. The Horsemen have four games remaining after Saturday with three against teams with losing records.
