The Kentucky Horsemen will look to go into the arenafootball2 playoffs with their winning streak intact when they close the regular season Saturday night on the road against the Florida Firecats.
The Horsemen have won five straight games since losing to division leader Tennessee Valley on June 6. Kentucky (10-5) can tie Tennessee Valley (11-4) atop the division with a win Saturday and a Vipers loss against South Georgia.
Going into Saturday's game, the Horsemen are fourth in the American Conference, which would allow them to host a game in the first week of the playoffs.
Kentucky is assured a spot in the 16-team af2 playoffs, though its seed and opponent are yet to be decided.
The Horsemen currently hold the fourth-place tiebreaker over South Georgia, which is also 10-6. They can still win the division title.
Kentucky has split two games against the Firecats already this season. Florida won 68-62 in a home game on April 18. The Horsemen rectified that loss with a 83-48 victory over the Firecats on May 23 at Rupp Arena. The 35-point win marked Kentucky's biggest victory margin of the season and second-highest point total in a game.
