Lexington
Thursday: Bluegrass 10,000 Expo. 5 to 9 p.m., Lexington Convention Center. $20 to register (or $12 for the one-mile Fun Run.)
■ Patriotic concert with the Lexington Singers and Lexington Philharmonic, 8 p.m. Transylvania University, on the front lawn of the Old Morrison Building. ■ Red, White and Boom, 2:30 p.m. at the Rupp Arena Cox Street parking lot. Concert featuring country artists including John Michael Montgomery, Billy Currington and Julianne Hough. $5, free for children 12 or younger. VIP passes $19.98; available before Friday from TicketMaster.
Clark County
Friday: Winchester’s Fourth of July celebration, 6-10:30 p.m., Lykins Park, Mount Sterling Road (U.S. 60). Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Games, activities and fireworks. $5 parking. (859) 744-9554.

Woodford County
Friday: “Evening with the Lexington Philharmonic,” 6:30 p.m.; gates open at 5 p.m. Woodford County Park, Beasley Road, Versailles. Features include a bicentennial birthday celebration for Abraham Lincoln, music by the Woodford Community Choir, the Wind Riders Skydiving Exhibition Team, an appearance by “Uncle Sam,” and a fireworks display. Guest conductor of the Philharmonic will be Jay Flippin. $5 advance, $6 at the gate. Tickets available at any bank in Woodford County or the Chamber of Commerce, 141 North Main Street.
