Education

Bluegrass Community & Technical College: Lisa Bell has been named vice president of finance and operations.

Campbellsville University: Shane Garrison of Alexandria has been named an instructor in educational ministries. The CU graduate has served in four churches in Kentucky and Texas in various capacities including youth, children and adult education and pastoral care and counseling.

Finance

Tamara McCain has joined the bank as vice president, treasury management officer for the Lexington region. Brad Schueler has been promoted to new account specialist for the bank's Tates Creek banking center.

Fifth Third Bank: David Kidd and John Shasky have been named vice presidents, commercial public funds. Michelle Lyndon, officer, has been promoted to Reynolds Road financial center manager. Paul Purcell, officer, has been promoted to Bellerive financial center manager.

Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care: The following have been named to the board for 2008-2009: Dr. Byron Thomas Westerfield, Versailles, chairman; Tamara McDaniel, Stanford, vice chairman.

Cre8tive Group: Julie Martinez, formerly of Los Angeles, has been named creative director for the Wilmore-based media communications firm. Martinez launched and still runs the non-profit organization Circle of Hope, which provides relief and care for orphaned children in Malawi, South Africa. Meredith White, most recently from Jackson, Miss., has been named account executive. She previously served as director of online and graduate admissions and marketing at Belhaven College.

AMR Management Services: Joy Ellis Kirchner has been named director of conferences. She will deliver conference and events services to AMR full-service and a la carte clients including staffing plans for client events, negotiating contracts with hotels and other service providers, providing budget tracking and assigning staff. Dianna Spina has been named conferences manager. She will provide event planning support.

The LaRue County Herald News: Ben Sheroan has been named general manager of the weekly Hodgenville newspaper and of the The Record, a weekly Leitchfield newspaper.
