GBBN Architects: Britney Groneck has joined the firm's architectural support core group. The Vine Grove native is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she earned her bachelor of architecture degree. Her areas of expertise include urban residential development and adaptive reuse projects.
Education
Berea College: David E. Shelton, a retired senior vice president of real estate, engineering and construction for the Lowe's companies, has been named chair of the college's board of trustees. He succeeds, M. Elizabeth Culbreth, board chair since 2002. James R. Lewis, Somerset native and president and chief executive officer for worldwide property and casualty operations with Chicago-based CNA, has been elected to a six-year term on the college's board of trustees.
Finance
Citizens Guaranty Bank: Wes Terry has been named market president in Winchester. Keith Riley has been named market president in Berea. Dan Reynolds has been named market president in Richmond. John Madon has been named market president in London. Nichole Eads has been named banking relationship specialist.
MetLife: Stephen Kiene has joined the firm as a financial services representative. The Scottsville native is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
Farm Credit Services of Mid-America: Joel Oney has been named vice president, financial services for the $14 billion ag lending cooperative serving more than 82,500 farmers throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee. He will oversee six sales offices in the Lexington area.

Kentucky Children's Hospital: The following have been appointed officers and members of UK Healthcare's Kentucky Children's Hospital executive development council for 2008-09: Jim Elliott, chair; Jim Richardson, vice chair; Missy Scanlon, secretary; Luther Deaton, past chair; Robert Canada, Children's Miracle Network representative to be elected; Ralph Coldiron; Greg David; Sheila David; Carol Farmer; Carol Gardner; Connie Joiner; Connie Jones; Dan Martin; Nana Mensah; Susie Merida; Jennifer Mynear; Cheryl Ann Newberry; Dr. Kim Rosenstein; Ann Thomas; and Jane Warner. The following have been named ex-officio members: Dr. Mike Karpf; Dr. Jay A. Perman; Dr. J. Timothy Bricker; Sherry Holmes; Janice Marks and Mark Slover.

Eastern Kentucky University National Alumni Association: Dayton, Ohio, attorney Michael Conway has been named president of the association. Conway, a 1972 graduate of EKU, is in private practice as a board-certified specialist in estate and financial planning, trusts and probate law.

CMI Consulting: Kendall Markesbery has joined the company as business development manager. She has 15 years of sales experience, and her most recent job was as account executive for Commerce Lexington.
Kentucky Department of Aviation: R. Winn Turney, a Lexington lawyer, has been named commissioner. Turney is a pilot and a former member of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board.
TrueNicks: Pedigree analyst Matt O'Neil has been named national sales manager for the Thoroughbred pedigree statistics and research firm.TrueNicks was developed in partnership with Blood-Horse Publications and Pedigree Research, a pedigree consultancy firm. O'Neil is the former managing editor of Owner-Breeder International, a pedigree newsletter acquired by Blood-Horse Publications in June.
