Coach: Matthew Mitchell (17-16 in one season at UK; 30-29 in two seasons at Morehead State)
Last season: 17-16 overall (8-6 in Southeastern Conference)
What's at stake: Last season, Kentucky advanced to its fourth straight post-season tournament and second consecutive WNIT. The Cats need to continue that trend if they want to keep tapping into one of the nation's largest fans bases and bringing in top-notch recruits. Some may look at this as a rebuilding year with the loss of four starters, but Mitchell believes UK has enough returning talent to make a surge in the SEC, as it did last season. With less depth than teams past, Kentucky must stay injury-free to keep its post-season hopes alive.
