Actors Guild to hold Spindletop soiree

Actors Guild of Lexington is celebrating its new production, Moonlight and Magnolias, with a soiree at Spindletop Hall, 3414 Ironworks Pike, from 7 to 10 p.m. April 26.

The play is the story of how producer David O. Selznick, director Victor Fleming and writer Ben Hecht created the script for Gone With the Wind.

The Spindletop event, called “Scene and Be Seen,” will be done up Old South style, and there will be raffles for several prize packages, including trips to Chicago and Washington. Tickets for the event are $100 a person, $175 a couple, and they are available by calling (859) 233-7330.
