Woman seriously injured in one-vehicle crash

A woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle wreck on North Broadway Thursday morning when her sport-utility vehicle struck a concrete culvert and hit a tree, Lexington police said.

The wreck occurred at North Broadway and Cane Run Road about 5:45 a.m. The woman, who was not identified, received serious, but not life-threatening, injuries and was taken to University of Kentucky Hospital.

The woman was driving a Geo Tracker. She was the only person in the vehicle, Curtsinger said.
