UK's Dunlap named SEC Player of the Week

Kentucky's Victoria Dunlap has been named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

The 6-foot-1 sophomore forward from Nashville averaged 15.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in the Wildcats' two wins last week.

Dunlap scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (to go with five steals and three blocks) in a 72-63 win over North Carolina A&T on Thursday, and she followed with 20 points and a career-high 15 boards when UK beat Miami (Ohio) 80-55 on Saturday.

Dunlap, UK's leader in points (12.4 points a game), blocks (16) and steals (29), has scored in double figures in 10 of 15 games this season, including the past six.

The Wildcats (10-5) will take a five-game winning streak into their SEC opener Thursday at No. 7 Tennessee.
