Kentucky had a three-run lead with the bases empty and one out in the top of the ninth Tuesday night, but two errors, a walk, a wild pitch and a passed ball led to five unearned runs, and Lipscomb rallied to beat UK 8-7.

It was the Bisons' sixth straight win over Kentucky and their fifth straight win in Lexington.

Lipscomb managed just two hits in the final inning — one an infield single.

The Bisons broke a 6-6 tie on a sharply hit ground ball to second that freshman Andy Burns couldn't handle. Burns had replaced Chris Bisson, who was injured when he made an error earlier in the inning. Two runs scored on the play.

Kentucky (21-18) scored once in the bottom of the ninth and had two runners on with two outs, but Chris McClendon grounded to third to end the game.

With runners on first and third and no outs earlier in the inning, Gunner Glad grounded into a double play that scored a run.

Lipscomb (16-24) trailed 6-0 after six innings before scoring three runs in the seventh on two hits and an error.

Sophomore left hander Mike Kaczmarek, making his fourth start of the season for UK, went six innings, giving up six hits and two runs, one earned, while striking out five.

Keenan Wiley and freshman catcher Michael Williams hit home runs for Kentucky.
