Kiffin says Tebow got his All-SEC vote

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin says Florida quarterback Tim Tebow earned his vote for the coaches' preseason All-Southeastern Conference team.

Tebow wasn't a unanimous first-team pick, but Kiffin praised him Tuesday as "potentially the best college player ever" if the quarterback's senior season is anything like his previous seasons.

Kiffin recruited Tebow when he was an assistant at Southern California. He said he was struck by Tebow's confidence and was convinced Tebow would win a lot of college games. Tebow has since won the 2007 Heisman Trophy and two national championships with Florida.

And Kiffin says Tebow will have little problem achieving that level of success in the NFL.
