A monarch butterfly landed on 6-year-old Shakata Lewis' cast during a butterfly release held in front of the Jessamine Co. Courthouse in Nicholasville, Ky., Thursday, May 23, 2013. This is the third year that Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home in Nicholasville has held the event to honor people who have passed over the years in Jessamine Co. This year 383 names were read by Diann Cundiff before 120 butterflies were released. 60 people were chosen to release individually packaged monarch butterflies before James Farley released 60 Painted Ladies.
