Asmussen’s Gun Runner, Creator on equal footing heading into Kentucky Derby

Both Gun Runner and Creator had trainer Steve Asmussen grinning Monday with the former going 4 furlongs in :50.40 while his stablemate carved out his half-mile move in :50.60 at Churchill Downs. If their trainer is unwilling to separate the two in terms of which has the best chance at handing him his first Kentucky Derby victory, he is happy to give equal praise to the colts.
