The city of Lexington pays for crowd control and other costs related to University of Kentucky home basketball games and post-season celebrations. Mayor Jim Gray called the costs a good investment, because UK is Lexington's largest employer.

Two men were hospitalized Wednesday for stab wounds after a fight and a foot chase. The fight began in a car and spilled out on the 100 block of East Fourth Street about 11:10 a.m., police said.
