Warming up for the Moonshiner's Ball
The Three Quarters to Moonshiner's Ball event, 8 p.m. Saturday at Al's Bar, will celebrate the release of the full lineup for the Moonshiner's Ball coming up on May 14. Etta's in town
Fans looking for a fun break from basketball action can catch comedian Etta May at Comedy Off Broadway in The Mall at Lexington Green. This Lexington favorite has appeared on Oprah and as a guest commentator on CBS Sunday Morning. Performances are 7:15 and 9:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $19 and $22. A whole lot of Bach
The 10th Annual Bach Marathon will feature a free day of music by Johann Sebastian Bach. Area musicians will perform the composer's solo organ works from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, 180 East Maxwell Street. From 1 to 5 p.m., the event moves to Faith Lutheran Church, 1000 Tates Creek Road, for performances of instrumental and vocal works. Drama at Transy Theatre
Transylvania University Theatre presents The Dying City. A year after her husband is killed in Iraq, a woman is paid a surprise visit by his twin brother in this play written by Christopher Shinn.
