If you want to watch Kentucky play UConn on the big screen, at least two venues in Lexington are planning to show it — for free. Here are the details.
Kentucky Theatre. 214 E. Main St., (859) 231-6997, Kentuckytheater.com. Game will be shown free in the smaller State Theater, which will open about 7 p.m. Monday. Tickets required but available at the door. Popcorn, concessions, soda and beer for sale.
Movie Tavern. 133 N. Locust Hill Dr., (859) 266-4667, Movietavern.com. The combination restaurant and movie theater will have two screens devoted to Monday’s game. Admission is free, but tickets are required (limit of two per person); available first-come, first-served at 10 a.m. Monday.
Also, if you plan to go to a sports bar or restaurant, we rounded up what 32 places were offering for Saturday’s Final Four game — and most venues planned something similar for Monday’s game should Kentucky advance.
