This week, Everett McCorvey added another job to his résumé: director of Music Over Lexington, a cabaret-style series of concerts at Bakers 360, the restaurant atop the 15-story Chase Tower, at Main Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The series will be Wednesday nights from Oct. 21 to Dec. 23 and will feature regional artists.
McCorvey, whose other gigs include but are not limited to directing the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre and producing the opening ceremonies for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, says that he hopes the shows will be casual events in which artists share a little bit about their music and their careers in addition to playing.
Among the artists McCorvey said he hopes will play on the series is celebrated trumpeter Vince DiMartino, who is based at Centre College.
Never miss a local story.
Admission to the concerts will be free. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. each night. Parking will be available in the Chase garage for $2.
