West Sixth Brewing is adding a new beer to its canned lineup: West Sixth Cerveza, a Mexican lager.
It will be released in six-packs across Kentucky over the next month as a year-round offering. It’s also available in the taproom beginning Feb. 26.
According to the tasting notes, it is a crisp lager with a pleasant cracker-like malt, notes of corn and a low amount of hops.
“It’s been almost a year since we introduced a new beer in a can, and our fans have been asking for this one for a while,” said Brady Barlow, West Sixth co-founder.
Cerveza is 4.6 percent alcohol by volume and comes in a can decorated with another print by Cricket Press that alludes to the Mexican art of cut-paper flags, known as papel picado.
