Tickets are on sale for F.E.A.S.T., an annual fundraiser for FoodChain. The dinner featuring female chefs from around the country, including Kentucky, is 6:30 p.m. March 13 at The Apiary, 218 Jefferson Street. Tickets are $100 per person, available online at eventbrite.com.
F.E.A.S.T. stands for Food Equity and Access Sustains Tomorrow. The dinner benefits the non-profit FoodChain, which is bringing food solutions to the Bluegrass through education and community involvement. FoodChain, which is at West Sixth Brewing’s Bread Box building, has Kentucky’s first indoor aquaponics farm.
The dinner will feature guest celebrity chefs Abra Berens of Granor Farm in Three Oaks, Mich.; Jamilka Borges with Spoon in Pittsburgh; Joy Crump with Foode in Fredricksburg, Va.; Amy Brandwein of Centrolina in D.C.; as well as Ouita Michel of Holly Hill Inn in Midway; Annie Pettry of Decca in Louisville; Sara Bradley of The Freight House in Paducah; Kristy Matherly of Sunrise Bakery in Lexington and Toa Green of Crank & Boom in Lexington.
