On Saturday, the National Association of Letter Carriers will collect food donations for local pantries and food banks as part of the Stamp Out Hunger food drive. In Lexington, God's Pantry Food Bank will receive all food donations. You can leave items at your mailbox or make a contribution at give.godspantry.org. You can also mail a check to the Food Bank 1685 Jaggie Fox Way, Lexington KY 40511 for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. God's Pantry Food Bank requests canned fruits and vegetables, shelf-stable milk, peanut butter, cereal, pasta, rice, canned pasta sauce or spaghetti sauce, canned protein — tuna, chicken, turkey. Don't donate food in glass containers, expired, perishable or homemade food.
■ First Southern National Bank will host the 18th Annual Taste of Jessamine County from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the R.J. Corman Hangar 2 in Nicholasville.
