View of the Leaches' South Ashland Avenue home from the back of the deep lot.
The Leach family: Caroline, 13, Tom and Robyn. The Leaches' 18-year-old son Connor is not pictured.
When the Leaches renovated their home on South Ashland, they kept only the hardwood floors. The couple removed the wall between two receiving rooms off the entry to create an open living and dining area.
A butler's pantry is situated just beyond the dining room, and connects the formal rooms of the home with the great room.
Antique chairs that once occupied the private dining car of Diamond Jim Brady and Lillian Russell were reupholstered and restored to the original finish.
When Tom and Robyn Leach purchased their home in 2008, they had the floor plan reconfigured to allow for a large, open great room where their family could spend time together.
The butler's pantry, Robyn's favorite room, features her crystal collection behind glass doors.
Tom's office, which is also a mini-studio, is located in the two-story coach house behind the home.
The galley-style kitchen features cream-colored modified Shaker cabinets and granite countertops.
Robyn created a 1960s retro look for the owners' suite, adding a touch of glamour with vintage accessories and mirrored furniture.
The classic black-and-white decor is repeated in the owners' bath.
The two-story, 4,800-square-foot brick home with two-story coach house was built in 1986.
