'Press release' about Wildcat Lodge is a fake, UK spokesman says

The new Wildcat Coal Lodge approved by the University of Kentucky this week has sparked a lot of discussion, and now a gag.
A fake press release sent to some media outlets Wednesday evening falsely claimed that the UK Athletic Association had asked the school's board of trustees to transfer the name "Joe B. Hall Wildcat Lodge" to the new building.
The athletics office had been "overwhelmed" by phone calls and e-mail messages about the trustees' decision, the fake release said.
The contact listed was an alleged assistant UKAA media relations assistant who, suspiciously, had a gmail address instead of a regular UK address.
Jimmy Stanton, who is a real spokesman for the university, blew a whistle on it.
"This is a fake and was not issued by anyone at the University of Kentucky or UK Athletics," he said.
