About 190 Kentucky American Water customers in southwestern Clark County are being asked to boil their water for the next three days after a water main broke Tuesday afternoon.
The advisory affects customers on Grimes Mills Road, Gentry Road, Hootentown Road, Jones Ferry Road, Boone Ridge Lane, Sidwell Lane and Athens-Boonesboro Road from Combs Ferry Road, west to the Fayette County line. Tap water for drinking, cooking or making ice should be boiled for three minutes.
