Keeneland will hold a public forum at 6 p.m. Monday on its master plan to renovate the historic race track on Versailles Road.
The forum will be held at the Keeneland Sales Pavilion. Keeneland President and Chief Executive Officer Nick Nicholson and Russ Simons, HOK Sport senior principal, will make opening remarks.
Keeneland has contracted with HOK Sport, the world’s leading sports architecture firm based in Kansas City, Mo., to develop a master plan for current and future use of the facility. HOK has been asked to review the Lexington racetrack’s existing facilities for racing, sales and simulcasting.
Keeneland, which has an eye toward expansion to host the Breeders’ Cup, also has a form on its Web site, www.keeneland.com, for comment. The track will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2011.
