Kentucky will receive double the funding expected for the state's Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, Gov. Steve Beshear said Friday.
The state will get more than $68 million in federal funds for the program instead of an anticipated $30 million.

Kentucky's Cabinet for Health and Family Services will disburse the funds to Community Action Kentucky, which will then distribute money to families that require assistance.
