A Harrison County woman died Tuesday morning after she lost control of her car, which crashed head-on with another vehicle, sheriff's deputies said.
Investigators said the wreck happened about 8:15 a.m., when Danyell Kearns, 21, was driving west on U.S. 62, about seven miles from Cynthiana. Kearns rounded a curve and lost control of her car. The vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a car driven by Amber Espinoza, 21, of Clearfield.
Kearns, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, the sheriff's office said. Espinoza was treated and released from Harrison Memorial Hospital.
