The custodian accused of fatally shooting a co-worker at Leestown Middle School has signed a waiver to be extradited to Kentucky.
The Fayette County sheriff's office was notified by the Jackson County, Mo., sheriff's office Thursday afternoon that Brian Allen McGuire signed extradition papers, according to a release.
The Fayette County's sheriff's office said it "is in the process of making transportation arrangements" to bring McGuire back to Kentucky. It would not release specifics about McGuire's return because of safety reasons.
McGuire, 27, of Lexington is suspected of killing José Daniel Donato, 38, a fellow custodian at Leestown. The shooting happened shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday.
