Crews from the National Weather Service will visit Whitley County on Thursday to investigate damage from a line of storms that passed through the area Wednesday.
There were reports of golf-ball-sizd hail, flash flooding and high winds in the county, said Peter Geogerian, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Jackson. Officials will evaluate the damage in Whitley County to see whether there was tornado activity.
"Whitley County really got pummeled," Geogerian said.
There were also reports of flash flooding in Letcher, Pike and Fleming counties, Geogerian said.
