A Lexington man died Saturday in a lawn mowing accident.
David Steele, 56, was on a riding mower at 3940 Briar Hill Road when he ran off a small embankment, and the mower turned over on him, according to a press release by the Fayette County coroner's office.
He was later found by a family member, when someone noticed that he had not returned when he should have, said Lt. Scott Blakely of Lexington police.
Emergency workers were called to the scene at 5:50 p.m., Blakely said, and Steele was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m., according to the coroner's release.
