Lexington police are accusing a woman from New Albany, Ind., of leaving her 2-year-old child alone in a hotel room while she went swimming.
Tiffany Paige Robertson, 24, was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor on June 28.
Robertson and her boyfriend left the sleeping child alone for about two hours while they "went to another motel up the street to swim," a police report says.
The child woke up and went into the hall, where another guest of the hotel heard the child crying. The guest then saw the child trying to open a door leading to the third-floor stairwell, according to the report.

The offense occurred at the Red Roof Inn at 100 Canebrake Drive, the report said.
Robertson was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, but a new court date was set for July 28.
